Telco Systems Acquires IP-DSLAM Solution Provider Critical Telecom Corp.

Telco Systems has acquired the assets of Critical Telecom Corp., a developer of broadband enabling platforms for IP-based access networks. Telco Systems provides carrier-class transport and access solutions for public and private IP and TDM networks.

The Critical GEmini is purpose-built for outside plants. It is an Ethernet remote DSLAM offering integrated GigE backhaul and a modular port scalability architecture. The GEmini leverages an existing copper infrastructure to deliver fiber-grade services at a low total cost of deployment.

The GEmini offers non-blocking ADSL2+, which enables applications like VoIP, triple-play services, IPTV (News - Alert) and high-speed Internet access. The product line is now part of Telco Systems and will be support from the company’s existing facility in Ottawa, Canada. Telco Systems’ suite of products offers solutions for Metro Ethernet Access Rings, residential and enterprise VoIP, FTTx, SONET,WiFi ( News - Alert) and T1 backhaul.

BATM Advanced Communications Ltd. закупи производителя на оптични мрежови устроиства Metrobility Optical Systems за само 6.85 милиона долара в брой. Покупката е извършена главно като начин за разширяване на BATM в Северна и Латинска Америка.

Access211N wins 2006 Editors Choice Award from Service Provider Weekly

There are many products on the market today that allow you integrate VoIP (Voice over IP) technology with existing analog phone systems however many of these products have a pretty steep price tag attached to them. Telco Systems has developed a small device that gives small business home office (SOHO) locations with an affordable solution to this type of product and the Access211N wins our Editor's Choice Award for price and functionality.

There are many functions that are provided by the Acess211N and this includes the device's router capabilities. An incoming WAN port connects with your cable or DSL service provider and a single 10/100Base-T Ethernet port can be used to connect directly with a PC or with a switch product. There are two FXS ports to connect with local telephone lines from your phone company and the device provides the technology of translating data between digital and analog signals that is needed for this type of product.

BATM's Secret Slips Out

In an industry increasingly replete with news of multimillion dollar deals with unnamed customers and partners, it's nice to see some companies drop the odd hint about the identity of their secret bedfellows.
BATM Advanced Communications Ltd. (London: BVC - message board), parent of Ethernet equipment vendor Telco Systems (BATM) did the honors today, albeit unwittingly. It issued a press release announcing an OEM deal with "a distinguished and very professional global supplier". (See BATM Signs OEM).

BATM Signs OEM

BATM Advanced Communications (LSE: BVC - message board), a leading designer of broadband data and telecoms systems, announces the signing of an OEM agreement with a new global network supplier.

Techmark movers: BATM continues slide

BATM Advanced continued its recent slide downwards despite announcing on Tuesday that it received first purchase orders with a new leading international telecom supplier.

The group said the initial value of the contract is approximately worth $2m, with delivery starting immediately and ending before the end of 2006. It added that there was scope and scale for the contract to expand significantly.

Metro Ethernet Forum Certifies Telco Systems' T-Metro Ethernet Platform as MEF 9 Compliant

BATM Rises On Major Deal

Ethernet and VOIP equipment vendor BATM Advanced Communications Ltd. (London: BVC - message board) saw its valuation rise by 14 percent today following news of a major deal for its T6Pro family of ATCA-based Ethernet switches. (See BATM Wins Mystery 'Major Contract'.)

BATM, best known for its telecom business Telco Systems (BATM), announced a major supply deal with "one of the world’s leading telecom suppliers," though it didn't name the company. "The new contract will greatly strengthen our strategic ties with an extremely important customer," the company added in its official release.

Telco Systems, Foxboro, Mass., today introduced the T-Metro, which the company said is the first in a series of MPLS-based, carrier-class multiservice metro Ethernet access platforms for carriers and service providers.

Telco Systems, best known for its success in the TDM channel bank and IAD equipment space, today took another step into the next-generation networking world with the introduction of the T-Metro. Telco Systems Acquires Integral Access

Telco Systems, a provider of carrier-class transport and access solutions for IP and TDM networks, today announced the acquisition of Integral Access, the developer of the carrier-class PurePacket IP based multi-service access platform for delivery of converged voice and data.
